Home on SL?
May 22 2008, 2:49 PM EDT Hi all - I'm been trying to find a spot to emerge in when I log into Second Life. I've been using the workshop parcel as my "home" (especially as the two Orientation Islands I used to call "home" seem to have folks just hanging around (loitering?) there), but do y'all have favorite other spots? Thanks! Do you find this valuable? |

May 23 2008, 5:01 PM EDT For the first part of my first year in SL, I used the 5th floor of Bell Tower as my home. That is Cat's Law Library. It was great since there was not a lot of traffic. I could go there and change clothes, etc. But one time, Cat appeared and I was embarrassed to see her there. :-) Now I have a home (at least for a few more months) and you are welcome to use that as yours too. Do you find this valuable? |

May 23 2008, 7:06 PM EDT do a search on Bell library. It is also on the notecard we had when we took the tour of the libraries in lesson 2. It is on the 5th floor of the middle of the 3 buiildings. Are you coming to the class tomorrow at 9 a.m. pacific? Do you find this valuable? |

May 23 2008, 7:53 PM EDT Thanks, shall try to get in tomorrow before class and see if I'm successful (5th floor). And yes, I'll be at tomorrow's class. I'm hoping to read up first and practice a little more building so I can actually do some of the scripting this time...:-) From the first Scripting 101 class I attended, I felt empowered just knowing what it's going to enable me to do. Now I get to try it a little tomorrow. We'll see what happens. I think I might need remedial Building 101 and Scripting 101...:-) Do you find this valuable? |
